· Cate Blanchett joins Sigourney Weaver, Emma Thompson and Julianne Moore by receiving nominations for Leading and Supporting Actress in the same year and winning neither.

IT MUST BE THE WATER
· First-time Supporting nominees Ruby Dee and Hal Holbrook were both born in Cleveland, OH within 4 months of each other. Dee is the elder.
