"A Return to Glamour"

The Kodak Theatre, Los Angeles
Your Host: Jon Stewart
Televised (with a 5-second delay) over ABC

Tribute montages by Chuck Workman

Opening Sequence: (filmed) Past hosts (Billy Crystal, Chris Rock, Steve Martin, Whoopi Goldberg & David Letterman) all decline to host tonight. Mel Gibson also declines. Scene shifts to bedroom, and The Moviefone Man declines. We see it's Jon Stewart's bedroom, and he's in bed with Halle Berry. He asks if this is a dream; she says yes. CU on Stewart dreaming; camera pulls back to show he's now in bed with George Clooney, who says it isn't a dream and it's time to get to work. A "Yesssss!" from Stewart, and we start the show.

During his opening monologue, Stewart introduces a montage of "gay" themes in classic Hollywood Westerns.
