Napoleon's younger brother Jérôme (Conrad Nagel) loves an American girl, Betsy Patterson (Dolores Costello). The Emperor disapproves of their marriage, though, and has Betsy sent back to America. She has Jérôme's child, and he eventually deserts his native France to return to her side. Directed by Alan Crosland for Warner Bros.
