The Affairs of Cellini
(a.k.a. "The Firebrand")

US (1934): Comedy

Gregory La Cava directs Constance Bennett, Fredric March, Frank Morgan and Fay Wray in this romantic comedy about the Renaissance artist Benvenuto Cellini. Cellini (March) is more interested in pursuing women than his artistic pursuits. He initially flirts with his artistic model (Wray), but then succumbs to a beautiful Duchess (Bennett). The duchess's husband (Morgan) doesn't have time to worry about Cellini romancing his wife, as he's occupied romancing Cellini's model. The artist also finds time to swashbuckle a little between romantic intrigues and painting. (amctv.com)
