Hide-Out
US (1934): Comedy/Drama/Crime
A New York City crook (Robert Montgomery), wounded during a shoot-out with the police, eludes his pursuers and makes his way to an upstate farm, where he collapses and tells the farmer he was shot by crooks. While he recuperates, the crook spends time with a farmgirl (Maureen O'Sullivan) who teaches him rural feats such as tossing hay onto a wagon and how to milk a cow. The law finally catches up with him, and he must tell the girl he now loves the truth. W.S. Van Dyke directs for Metro; supporting cast includes Edward Arnold and Mickey Rooney.
