All the King's Horses

US (1934): Musical

Frank Tuttle co-wrote and directed this film in which a movie star (Carl Brisson) changes places with a king who looks exactly like him (Brisson, again), causing complications for all concerned. The music in this picture is a cut above what one might expect, especially the song "A Little White Gardenia" (by Sam Coslow) which was sung a number of times in the movie by Carl Brisson and Mary Ellis. William LeBaron produced for Paramount. Also features Edward Everett Horton, Katherine DeMille and Eugene Pallette. (IMDb)
