Opera star Lily Pons plays a singer whose dreams of stardom come true when she falls in love with Henry Fonda, a young composer. Unfortunately, after he pushes her to success, their love affair is marred by jealousy. Pons was cast in response to Columbia's successful launching of opera singer Grace Moore's screen career.
