Waikiki Wedding

US (1937): Musical/Comedy/Dance

Bing Crosby plays a laid-back PR man for a Hawaiian pineapple company, enjoying his life in tropical paradise, until beautiful Shirley Ross arrives on the island as winner of a public relations contest for the company. He's charged with escorting her and concocts some elaborate schemes to keep her entertained, with the help of Bob Burns and Ross's friend Martha Raye. Naturally, there's plenty of romance and crooning, including "Blue Hawaii" and the Oscar®:-winning "Sweet Leilani." Frank Tuttle directs for Paramount. (amctv.com)
