A musical romance in which refugees from the Russian Revolution build new lives in Paris, with Nelson Eddy riding at the head of a Cossack singing regiment and falling tunefully in love with Ilona Massey. Based on the operetta by Eric Maschwitz. The MGM cast, directed by Reinhold Schünzel, includes Charles Ruggles, Frank Morgan, Lionel Atwill, C. Aubrey Smith, Joyce Compton and George Tobias.
