In an Astaire curiosity, he and Burgess Meredith bide their time in college as each vies for a place in Artie Shaw's show. A delicious Paulette Goddard manages both and they compete for a place in her heart as well. Offscreen, Meredith took the prize and married Goddard a few years after this production. H.C.
