The Invisible Man Returns

Made seven years after the original, this tongue-in-cheek sequel stars Vincent Price as the invisible man's brother who uses the same formula to clear himself of a murder charge. Thought to be Price's first journey into the macabre on-screen, this Universal picture also features Cedric Hardwicke, Nan Grey, John Sutton, Cecil Kellaway and Alan Napier.

Director Joe May was never able to direct the artistically ambitious films he wanted to. He spent the last years of his life in cinematic retirement, running The Blue Danube restaurant in Hollywood. (amctv.com)
