In this Harry Chandlee-Frank Craven-Thornton Wilder adaptation of Wilder's famous stage play, Sam Wood directs a Principal Artists/UA cast that includes William Holden, Martha Scott, Fay Bainter, Beulah Bondi, Thomas Mitchell, Guy Kibbee, Stuart Erwin and Frank Craven (as the Stage Manager). The familiar story shows that change comes slowly to Grovers Corners, New Hampshire in the early 20th century. People grow up, get married, live, and die. Milk and the newspaper get delivered every morning, and nobody locks their front doors. (IMDb)
