Exciting action movie about a military flight surgeon (Errol Flynn) obsessed with finding the cure for pilot "blackout" was released just four months before Pearl Harbor. Michael Curtiz directs an uncharacteristically sincere Flynn performance. Frank "Spig" Wead's screenplay was filmed on several military sites, including the San Diego naval base, and in Pensacola, Florida. The Warner Bros. supporting cast includes Fred MacMurray, Ralph Bellamy, Alexis Smith (in her first major screen role), Robert Armstrong, Regis Toomey, Allen Jenkins and Craig Stevens (in his first credited screen role).
