Songwriters Dixie Donegan (Ann Sothern) and Eddie Crane (Robert Young) are still in love after their divorce. Dixie's friend Marilyn Marsh (Eleanor Powell) tries to convince them to marry again, but this isn't that easy. Norman Z. McLeod directs this Arthur Freed-produced MGM musical with a cast that includes Lionel Barrymore, John Carroll, Red Skelton, Virginia O'Brien, Dan Dailey and Phil Silvers. Sothern sings "The Last Time I Saw Paris," and Powell dances to "Fascinating Rhythm." Other songs include "You'll Never Know (If an Apple Is Ripe)," "Your Words and My Music" and "Lady Be Good."
