Night Train to Munich
(a.k.a. "Gestapo" -- UK and "Night Train")

UK (1940): Spy/War/Thriller

First-class thriller about a British secret service agent trying to rescue a Czech scientist from Nazis in Berlin. This British comedy-suspense film is often compared to Hitchcock's The Lady Vanishes. They are not only similar in style and location, they share the same screenwriter and several members of the cast, including Basil Radford and Naunton Wayne, who reprise the roles they played in the Hitchcock film. Carol Reed directs this Gaumont/20th Century-Fox release that stars Margaret Lockwood, Rex Harrison and Paul Henreid. (amctv.com)
