Silver Queen

US (1942): Western

Tag line: "Queen of Hearts to Every Gambler on the Barbary Coast!"

Priscilla Lane makes a bid for stardom here and gives a perky performance, supported by George Brent as the love interest and Bruce Cabot as the villain. It involves silver mines and broken promises and outright lies, but of course it all comes out right in the end. Excellent production values. Lloyd Bacon directs for UA. (Arne Andersen, IMDb)
