The Affairs of Susan

US (1945): Comedy

Susan (Joan Fontaine) is about to be married, but the wedding may get called off after her fiancé summons three former beaux. Each reveals a different portrait of Susan: one describes her as a naïve country girl who reluctantly becomes an actress, another paints a picture of a gay party girl and and the third describes a serious intellectual. Which one is the real Susan? Cast includes George Brent, Dennis O'Keefe, Walter Abel, Don DeFore, Rita Johnson and Byron Barr [not the Byron Barr who became Gig Young, changing his name after the two worked together on The Gay Sisters (1942)]. William A. Seiter directs for Paramount. (IMDb)
