Switzerland (1944): War/Drama
In 1940 Rouen, France, the Germans are moving closer and the cannons thunder. In the home of Mme. Fleury (Germaine Tournier), 11-year-old Marie-Louise (Josiane Hegg) and her 5-year-old brother Pierre cry out when the first bomb buries their neighbor's house. By 1942, food and shelter are becoming scarce. Mme. Fleury works in an ammunition factory and her husband is a German prisoner-of-war. After survivng an Allied air raid, Marie-Louise is chosen by the Red Cross to spend three months with a Swiss family, far from the hell of war. (Translated from headfilm.ch.)
