US (1947): Romance/Drama

A gambler (Rex Harrison) wins a large New Orleans estate in a card game. He meets a society woman (Maureen O'Hara) and marries her, but the marriage dissolves when the woman confronts the gambler's past. The gambler leaves, their son is killed, and the woman runs the estate. Her husband returns before a bad crop nearly ruins the place and the couple bond anew. John M.
