So You Want To Be in Pictures
US (1947): Comedy/Short
Aspiring actor Joe McDoakes takes acting lessons by mail order recordings and lands a small part in a movie. The film's director fires Joe when he tries to do the part sounding like Charles Boyer and Ronald Colman. Joe finally gets a job as a stand-in for actor George O'Hanlon [who plays Joe and was a writer for the series (from 1942 to 1956) -- and who later would become the voice of George Jetson]. And that's not all he gets. Uncredited appearances by Jack Carson, Janis Paige, Ronald Reagan, Alexis Smith and Martha Vickers, among others. Written and directed by Richard L. Bare. (IMDb)
This film is included in "The Ronald Reagan Signature Collection" DVD box set.
