The Romance of Transportation in Canada
(Sports et transports!)

Canada (1952): Animated/Short

Light-hearted animated whimsy about a down-to-earth subject: how Canada's vast distances and great obstacles were overcome. The whole story of transportation is told with tongue-in-cheek seriousness, from the intrepid trail blazers of long ago to the aircraft of today and tomorrow... Directed by Colin Low; English narration by Max Ferguson and Guy Glover (who was also the writer); French narration by Jean-Louis Roux. This film holds the distinction of being the first animated short from the NFBC to be nominated for an Oscar®. (NFB-Canada)
