Torch Song

US (1953): Romance

Jenny Stewart (Joan Crawford) is a tough Broadway musical star who doesn't take criticism from anyone. Yet there is one individual, Tye Graham (Michael Wilding), a blind pianist who may be able to break through her tough exterior. Charles Walters directs an MGM cast that also includes Gig Young, Marjorie Rambeau, Harry Morgan, Dorothy Patrick and James Todd. Crawford's singing was dubbed by India Adams; songs include "You Won't Forget Me," "Follow Me" and "Two-Faced Woman," the black-face number that was pulled from Cyd Charisse in The Band Wagon and given to Crawford for this film.
