Journey into Self is a classic film - winning the Best Feature Length Documentary for 1968. It is a dramatic, moving documentary of an intensive basic encounter group of eight participants led by Carl Rogers and Richard Farson. NOTE: Young Americans was originally voted the Award at the ceremonies on April 14, 1969, but later (on May 7) was declared ineligible after it was learned the picture was first shown in a theater in October 1967 and therefore not eligible for a an Award for 1968. Journey into Self, first runner-up, was announced as the official winner on May 8, 1969.
