Half a House
(a.k.a. "A House Divided")

US (1976): Comedy

Jordan and Bitsy Blake (Anthony Eisley and Pat Delaney) -- a middle-aged couple divorced and living apart -- are forced to spend three months together in their house, which belongs jointly to them. They both try to use exactly one half of the house, but this only leads to "funny" and "dramatic" situations. In the end they bury the hatchet. Brice Mack directs this obscure, third-class light comedy for First American Films. The audience for this movie was so small that when the song "A World That Never Was" was nominated for an Academy Award, producer John B. Kelley had to set up an 800-number so that Academy voters could call in and hear a recording of the song.(Andreas Pieper, IMDb)
