This 88-minute documentary is an enthralling portrait of the legendary artist. Combining images of his magnificent his magnificent art and interviews with Chagall and his wife, Vava, the film brings to life Chagall's devotion to his Jewish heritage, to the old testament, and to love. Written and directed by Harry Rasky, it was awarded an Emmy for Best Documentary Film. Rasky was also given a DGA Award for Outstanding Directorial Achievement in Documentary in 1986 for this film.
