US (1978): Documentary
Written and directed by Arnold Shapiro, this film shows the Scared Straight program in which hardened convicts from maximum security prisons tell their stories about the truth about prison life in order to convince kids that no crime is worth the risk of being incarcerated. Shapiro followed up this film with "Scared Straight! 20 Years Later" in 1999 for television. (Kenneth Chisholm, IMDb)
