US (1978): Documentary/Short

This documentary is about the "Squires of San Quentin" program at San Quentin Prison in the Bay Area of CA. The program brought troubled kids in to really talk with the prisoners about why they do the things they do, and what will happen to them if they continue. This is nothing like Scared Straight!. This program is not meant to scare kids into doing the right thing. The purpose of this movie is to show the program being used at San Quentin Prison, and it shows the children, as well as the prisoners, in their most vulnerable moments and at their harshest.
