Justice William Brennan first called Earl Warren "Super Chief". Controversial despite his gracious and gentle demeanor, Warren molded an activist Supreme Court - and changed a nation. The Warren Court decisions radically affected American education, law enforcement, the rights of the accused, guarantees of free speech and the role of the court.
