US (2002): Drama
Three women -- writer Virginia Woolf (Nicole Kidman), Laura (Julianne Moore), a suburban housewife in the 1950s, and Clarissa (Meryl Streep), a modern-day Manhattanite -- are all linked thematically through varying relationships to Woolf's novel, Mrs. Dalloway. The film interweaves their individual stories over the course of one crucial day as each woman faces an emotional turning point in her life.
