Même le pigeons vont au paradis
Even Pigeons Go to Heaven

France (2007): Animated/Short

An old man, M. Moulin, keeps his money hidden away in a red sock. A local curate persuades him to purchase a machine that will take him to heaven. The old man is hesitant about whether heaven is for him. The priest allows him to have "a little taste of what awaits you." Orchestrated by the priest, the machine takes him to "Paradise", and M. Moulin likes what he sees. He agrees to sign the contract, and gives the priest his money. After they celebrate the deal, Death shows up at the old man's door, looking for a man who fell while reaching for a red sock. The priest has the sock now, so Death takes him instead. After Death leaves, M. Moulin cannot resist entering the machine and closing the door, becoming trapped inside.
