Born William Brian de Lacy Aherne in King's Norton, Worcestershire, England. Charming, classically handsome leading man who gained attention in several British silents before going to Hollywood in 1933. Memorable in the supporting role of the Emperor Maximilian, in JUAREZ (1939).
