The Last Command (1928)
Born in Russia. Silent film producing credits include LEW TYLER'S WIVES, THE ROMANCE OF A MILLION DOLLARS, DANCING DAYS, SHAMEFUL BEHAVIOR? and HIS NEW YORK WIFE (all 1926, all at Preferred Pictures as "presenter") and THE LAST COMMAND (1928 at Paramount as "supervisor"). He remained at Paramount and was associate producer of THE DOCKS OF NEW YORK (1928). With the advent of sound, he moved to RKO where he produced STRANGE JUSTICE (1932) and GOLDIE GETS ALONG and MAN HUNT (both 1933). His last noted credit is producer of EIGHT BELLS (1935) at Columbia.

His son, Lawrence Bachmann (1911-2004), was a writer and a producer.
