Wing and a Prayer (1944)

Writer who entered American film in 1937 with THE GREAT HOSPITAL MYSTERY at Fox. He specialized in light mysteries and war movies, writing several of the "Charlie Chan" and "Mr. Moto" films. Other notable credits (alone or in collaboration) include GUADACANAL DIARY (1943), WING AND A PRAYER (1944), FOREVER AMBER (1947), CALL NORTHSIDE 777 (1948), Will James' SAND (1949) and CRY DANGER (1951).    Nominated for Writing (Original Screenplay) 1944: WING AND A PRAYER 1 nomination
