Entered American film as an assistant director at Warner Bros. with THE HONEYMOON EXPRESS (1926). Other a.d. credits include WHILE LONDON SLEEPS (also 1926), TAXI and THE MOUTHPIECE (both 1932), WONDER BAR and FLIRTATION WALK (both 1934), SHIPMATES FOREVER and I FOUND STELLA PARISH (both 1935) and ANTHONY ADVERSE and STAGE STRUCK (both 1936, both uncredited). He became an assistant to Mervin LeRoy for THE GREAT GARRICK (1937) and THE WIZARD OF OZ (1939 - also uncredited writer), then an uncredited unit manager for WATERLOO BRIDGE (1940) and JOHNNY EAGER (1941). After World War II, his only credit is as a production assistant for WITHOUT RESERVATIONS (1946).
