Cavalcade (1933)
Born Wilhelm Sandorhazi in Sándorhaz, Austria-Hungary (now Hungary), in US films since 1920 after university studies in Budapest. He did his most important work for 20th Century-Fox after 1933 until his retirement in 1956.

Notable non-nominated art direction credits include A CONNECTICUT YANKEE (1931), THE LITTLE COLONEL, WAY DOWN EAST, THE MAN WHO BROKE THE BANK AT MONTE CARLO, THE LITTLEST REBEL and IN OLD KENTUCKY (all 1935), THE PRISONER OF SHARK ISLAND, WHITE FANG and POOR LITTLE RICH GIRL (all 1936), WEE WILLIE WINKLE and IN OLD CHICAGO (both 1937), SUBMARINE PATROL (1938), JESSE JAMES and STANLEY AND LIVINGSTONE (both 1939) and HANGMEN ALSO DIE (1943). He was set decorator and designed costumes for BERKELEY SQUARE (1933).
