Born in New York City. Writer who entered American film at Universal in 1920. He continued to work (alone or in collaboration) at Universal, as well as Fox, Tower Pictures and 20th Century Pictures. The last picture to use one of his stories was ALWAYS GOODBYE (1938) for 20th Century-Fox, which starred Barbara Stanwyck and Herbert Marshall and was directed by Sidney Lanfield.
