Eric Hatch
(1901 - 1973)

Novelist and screenwriter who entered American film with SIDEWALKS OF NEW YORK (1931). Several of his novels were adapted to the screen: MY MAN GODFREY (1936), ROAD SHOW and UNEXPECTED UNCLE (both 1941) and THE HORSE IN THE GREY FLANNEL SUIT (1968, The Year of the Horse). Other screenwriting credits (alone or in collaboration) include SPENDTHRIFT (1936) and TOPPER (1937).
