Morros began to produce films in 1939, and his credits include Laurel and Hardy's THE FLYING DEUCES (1939), Fred Astaire and Paulette Goddard in SECOND CHORUS (1940), Fox's all-star TALES OF MANHATTAN (1942), and the forgettable CARNEGIE HALL (1947) and A TALE OF FIVE CITIES (1951). In his book Ten Years a Counterspy, Morros revealed that he had been a double agent who spied for the Soviet Union from 1934 until 1955, and for the US from 1945. The book was the basis for the 1959 film MAN ON A STRING, with Ernest Borgnine playing Morros' character, "Boris Mitrov."
