Milan Roder

Orchestrator, music arranger and composer of stock music who worked largely uncredited, first at Paramount (TABU, 1931), but mainly at Warner Bros. Some of the notable films that used his music include THE SIGN OF THE CROSS and A FAREWELL TO ARMS (both 1932), CLEOPATRA (1934, also orchestrator), SOULS AT SEA (1937), THE BUCCANEER, IF I WERE KING and SPAWN OF THE NORTH (all 1938), SUPERMAN (1948), and THE GUN THAT WON THE WEST (1955).

His orchestrating and arranging credits include THE SCARLET EMPRESS (1934), CAPTAIN BLOOD (1935), ANTHONY ADVERSE (1936), THE PRINCE AND THE PAUPER and ANOTHER DAWN (both 1937), THE ADVENTURES OF ROBIN HOOD (1938), JUAREZ and THE PRIVATE LIVES OF ELIZABETH AND ESSIX (both 1939), THE SEA HAWK (1940), KINGS ROW (1942) and DEVOTION (1946).
