Joseph Walker

Born in Denver, CO. Leading Hollywood cinematographer who worked on 18 pictures with Frank Capra, including LOST HORIZON (1937) and IT'S A WONDERFUL LIFE (1946). Walker won a special Academy Award in 1982 for his "outstanding technical contributions" to the medium, which included pioneering work with zoom lenses undertaken after his retirement.
