theOscarSite Bio: Beginning in Danish film as a runner in the early 1990s, Christiansen worked his way up to unit production manager by 2000. He began producing student films for Niels Nørløv Hansen in 1999, and by 2002 Christiansen was producing short films for Hansen and other directors that were gaining international recognition. In 2006, Christiansen struck out to make his own films; he wrote and directed RÅZONE / LIFE HITS, a feature-length female coming-of-age film that received nominations for the 2007 Bodil Awards. He followed this with the 39-minute short dramatic film, OM NATTEN / AT NIGHT, which explores the relationships of three young women dealing with cancer and life.
