Born Christopher Menges in Kington, Herefordshire, England; son of Herbert Menges [1902-72], who was musical director of the Old Vic for 25 years. Cinematographer who entered British film as a camera operator on such films as THE SATURDAY MEN (1962), POOR COW (1967), and IF... (1968).
