theOscarSite Bio: Orent has served since 2002 as producer on FX's hit firefighter drama "Rescue Me." In 2005, the show was honored by the Producers Guild of American with a Visionary Award, which acknowledges producers whose work demonstrates a unique or uplifting quality. Upcoming, Orent will serve as executive producer on the romantic comedy DEFINITELY, MAYBE, scheduled for release early in 2008, and DUPLICITY, currently in pre-production for a 2009 release.

Orent's film credits as executive producer also include KATE & LEOPOLD (2001), ROUNDERS (1998), BIRTH (2004) and IT RUNS IN THE FAMILY (2003). Additionally, Orent was a producer on James Gray's crime thriller THE YARDS. Orent also co-produce COPLAND (1997), FLIRTING WITH DISASTER (1996), LITTLE ODESSA (1994), THE JOURNEY OF AUGUST KING (1995), and THE MUSIC OF CHANCE (1993). He was also a producer of an indie feature entitled DEAD DOG.

Orent's other television producing credits include the 2001-02 ABC series "The Job". Starting his filmmaking career in post-production, Orent counts among his many post-production supervising credits ANGELS AND INSECTS (1995), THE PELICAN BRIEF (1993), REVERSAL OF FORTUNE (1990), ISHTAR (1987), PEGGY SUE GOT MARRIED (1986) and THE COTTON CLUB (1984).
