After recurring roles on two Irish television series, "The Clinic" (2003-04) and "Proof" (2005), she began making movies. Among these have been Amy Heckerling's I COULD NEVER BE YOUR WOMAN (2007), starring Michelle Pfeiffer and Paul Rudd; Bill Clark's THE CHRISTMAS MIRACLE OF JONATHAN TOOMEY (also 2007), starring Joely Richardson and Tom Berenger; Joe Wright's ATONEMENT (also 2007), for which she received an Academy Award® nomination as Best Supporting Actress; and Gillian Armstrong's DEATH DEFYING ACTS (also 2007), starring Catherine Zeta-Jones and Guy Pearce. As of this writing (Jan08), Ms. Ronan is currently at work on Gil Kenan's CITY OF EMBER, a fantasy adventure in which she stars opposite Bill Murray, Tim Robbins, and Toby Jones, scheduled for a 2008 release.
