Rodney Ackland

Born in London. After studying drama and making his debut as an actor in 1924, he began writing for films and the stage in 1930. In addition to writing numerous plays and a number of screenplays for British films, he directed one motion picture (THURSDAY'S CHILD, 1943) and played supporting parts a few others. Autobiography: The Celluloid Madness: or the Custard Pie of Dr. Caligari (1958).
