Daniele Amfitheatrof

Born in St. Petersburg, Russia. Symphony conductor who scored his first film in Italy (Max Ophüls's LA SIGNORA DI TUTTI, 1934) before immigrating to the US in 1937. Amfitheatrof signed with MGM in 1939 and scored numerous films for various studios over the next three decades. Highlights include LETTER FROM AN UNKNOWN WOMAN (1948), THE DESERT FOX (1951) and MAJOR DUNDEE (1965).
