Set decorator who entered American film as art director for THE DRUMS OF JEOPARDY (1931). Notable set credits include THE TALK OF THE TOWN (uncredited) and MY SISTER EILEEN (both 1942), THE MORE THE MERRIER (1943), COVER GIRL (1944), LEAVE IT TO BLONDIE (1945), THE RETURN OF MONTE CRISTO (1946), FRAMED (1947), THE CHALLENGE and THE CREEPER (both 1948), TUCSON (1949), BEWARE OF BLONDIE (1950), HER FIRST ROMANCE (1951), CAT WOMEN OF THE MOON (1953), DOUBLE JEOPARDY (1955), LOVE ME TENDER (1956), THE ENEMY BELOW (1957), IN LOVE AND WAR (1958), KEY WITNESS (1960), and her last film, GOLD OF THE SEVEN SEAS (1961).

Babcock also worked as set decorator for the "Maverick" television series (1957).
