Ray Cory
(1894 - 1968)

Special effects and picture cinematographer whose first recorded credit is SECRET COMMAND (1944, uncredited in film). Other notable special effects credits include COUNTER-ATTACK and A THOUSAND AND ONE NIGHTS (both 1945), and PERILOUS HOLIDAY (1946). Cory shot second unit potography for TWO APRIL FOOLS, THE CAINE MUTINY and THREE HOURS TO KILL (all 1954), PICNIC (1955), JUBAL (1956) and COWBOY (1958).

His cinematography credits include ASSIGNMENT: PARIS (1952), and LAST OF THE COMANCHES (1953). He also shot several Three Stooges shorts between 1953 and 1959. Cortez's television work includes "Captain Midnight" (1954), "Mike Hammer" and "Playhouse 90" (both 1956), "Shotgun Slade" and "Riverboat" (1959), and "Johnny Staccato" and "Alfred Hitchcock Presents" (both 1960).
