Robert Emmett Dolan

Biography from Katz's Film Encyclopedia

A veteran Broadway conductor, composer and arranger, he went to Hollywood in the early 1940s as musical director for Paramount. He scored, arranged, and conducted many musical and dramatic films and in the 1950s produced three musicals, WHITE CHRISTMAS (1954), THE GIRL RUSH (1955), and ANYTHING GOES (1956). He later returned to the stage.
