Laura (1944)

Born in New York City. Screenwriter whose first screen credit is LA CONGA NIGHTS (1940) at Universal. Other story/screenplay credits, alone or in collaboration, include GIRLS UNDER 21 (also 1940), WHERE DID YOU GET THAT GIRL?, MEET BOSTON BLACKIE and CONFESSIONS OF BOSTON BLACKIE (all 1941), FLY-BY-NIGHT, THE WIFE TAKES A FLYER and GET HEP TO HER (all 1942), IT COMES UP LOVE and HIGHER AND HIGHER (both 1943), LAURA (1944), IT'S IN THE BAG! (1945), THE DARK CORNER (1946), CALL NORTHSIDE 777 and THAT WONDERFUL URGE (both 1948), PITFALL (from his novel) and THAT WONDERFUL LIFE (both 1948), IMPACE and DANCING IN THE DARK (both 1949), THE LAS VEGAS STORY and WE'RE NOT MARRIED (both 1952), and WERNHER VON BRAUN (1960).
